---- History Of St. Francis High School - Namagoma -----
Founded in 2006, St. Francis High School - Namagoma was established with a vision of producing people who are academically sound, morally upright and committed to serving God and their community both within Nakirebe and beyond. In its inaugural year, the school welcomed its first cohort of students into Senior One and Senior five, operating with a dedicated team of educators committed to laying a strong academic foundation. Despite initial challenges common to new educational establishments, such as limited infrastructure and resources, the school's commitment to excellence propelled its growth.
The introduction of Uganda's Universal Secondary Education (USE) program in 2007 aligned with the school's mission to make education more accessible. This policy shift allowed St Joseph, Nakirebe to expand its enrollment, catering to a broader segment of the community and reinforcing its role in national educational development.
Over the years, the school has evolved adding more classes both to O' Level and A’ Level and enhancing its curriculum to include a range of academic and co-curricular programs. Investments in infrastructure, such as science laboratories, a library and ICT facilities, have been made to support a holistic learning environment.
Today, St. Francis, Nakirebe stands as a testament to the enduring value of perseverance, community support, and a steadfast commitment to educational excellence. Its alumni have gone on to contribute meaningfully to various sectors, embodying the school's motto: "Let your light Shine"
